It is impossible to keep avoiding security as one of the main issues affecting in the most critical way the configuration of the urban landscape of our cities. This research project, funded by the Human and Scientific Development Centre of Universidad Central de Venezuela, takes as object of study a problem that transcends yet at the same time touches very closely the disciplinary scope of architectural practice. It pretends to approach this complex problematic as a critical analysis that would lead us to a deeper understanding of the multiple architectural variables involved.
